An Open Letter

Dear Mother Nature,

I get it. You can make snow. Now stop making it, please.

Blog This!

It has again been a long time since I've posted. Partially because I'm busy, and partially because nothing super exciting has happened lately. I now, however, have a few things to say.
I took Marge to Temple Gardens in Moose Jaw last weekend as a birthday present. I booked the 'Celebration Suite'. WOW. Nice. As big as 2 rooms, hardwood floors, a fireplace, king size bed, and a HUGE jacuzzi. (I just ran a spell checker to check if jacuzzi was the correct spelling and it suggested I change to 'Jaques'. Wow technology.)
We had a great time and had some good food. If ever in Moose Jaw, the Jade Garden is an excellent Chineese buffet with some awesome suprises, like the best pizza I've ever had. Also Nick's Place is a good bet. Lots of food, VERY reasonable prices and super tasty.

Other than that, about 2 weeks till my car arrives. It is still a random collection of parts in a factory in Ontario right now. I sure hope the Jetta can last 2 more weeks!! (Fingers Crossed)

And I'm going to try and get a Playstation 3 on Friday. I don't have high hopes, but I really want to sell one on Ebay, so I'm gonna give it a try.

Oh! And a video game review while I'm at it. I recently purchased Gears of War for the Xbox 360. Amazing Graphics, tense storyline, and the gun battles are awesome. It's always bothered me how in most shooting/war kinds of games, everyone just runs around and jumps and shoots at each other. How reality based is that?
I know if I was getting shot at, my first response would probably be to dive behind the nearest piece of cover I could find, rather than run and jump TOWARDS whoevers shooting at me. Thats what Gears gets right. If you don't use cover, you WILL NOT BEAT THIS GAME. Sure, your guy can still take a coupla bullets and still run around like a spring chicken, but the aspect of cover and tactical movement in a shooting game is a nice touch of realism and a breath of fresh air.
Until Nov 19th brings the launch of the Nintendo Wii and a new Legend of Zelda game with it, I can safely say that Gears of War is the best game of the year.

THAT IS ALL. Maybe I'll type again soon. See ya
